About the wine
The Cesanese del Piglio from Gotto d'Oro reflects 80 years of wine expertise and honors Lazio's best vineyards and local grape varieties under the Vinea Domini brand. This project is based on the highest quality and has received numerous awards that confirm the success and authenticity of the wine.

Tasting note
On the nose, it shows an intense bouquet of dark berries, cherries and a hint of violet, complemented by spicy notes of pepper and licorice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and harmonious, with ripe tannins and a pleasant acidity that gives freshness and structure. The aftertaste is long and persistent, with a fine fruitiness and subtle spicy nuances.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with hearty Italian dishes. It is particularly recommended with grilled or braised meat, such as lamb or beef, as its tannins and spicy notes complement the aromas of these dishes perfectly. It also goes well with aged cheese and dishes with rich tomato sauces — such as pasta all'Amatriciana or lasagna. For a regional combination, it is excellent to enjoy typical specialities from Lazio, such as Saltimbocca alla Romana.

Steel tank, then 3 months in French oak barrels and 2 months in bottle.
