About the wine
The Tenuta Castello di Morcote vineyard is considered one of the most beautiful in Ticino and the wines produced there today are among the best that Ticino has to offer. Gaby Gianini, co-owner, has been managing the winery with great power and passion since 2009. Tenuta Castello di Morcote has been in the Gault & Millau Guide with success since 2015 and has also appeared in the Vinum since 2015 as one of the best wineries in Switzerland.

Tasting note
Ein fruchtiger Weisswein mit kräftigem Körper und markanter Säure, welcher angenehm mit fein ausgebauten Tanninen auf Zunge und im Gaumen seine komplexe Struktur entfaltet.

Vinification
Ein paar Worte zur Vinifikation: Das selektionierte Traubengut wird nach der manuellen Lese schonend gepresst und anschliessend im temperaturgesteuerten Edelstahltank vergoren. Daraufhin reift der Wein für 18 Monate im 350 lt. Barrique (erst- und zweit- Belegung, wo der biologische Säureabbau stattfindet und regelmässig das Hefesatzaufrühren (bâtonnage) angewendet wird.
