The Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from the iconic Heitz winery undergoes classic vinification with long aging in large American barrels and in French barriques. Intense color, spicy bouquet with fine mint notes, typical cassis fruit, strong body, perfectly integrated tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The perfect drinking temperature for red wine is a slightly chilled 15°-18°C. The ideal drinking phase of this wine is in the following period: 2010 - 2028. Flaschenpöstler tip: Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley goes perfectly with pizza with mushrooms, ribeye steak and red meat.
Vinification
A few words about vinification: Very selective hand picking, spontaneous fermentation. The ageing process for around 24 months takes place in two thirds of new French and American barriques. The wines are then bottled unfiltered.
