About the wine

Tasting note
In the glass, the wine has a deep ruby red and purple reflections. On the nose, intense aromas of dark berries, black cherries, freshly ground pepper and fine herbal and violet notes develop. On the palate, Cabernet Franc is juicy and balanced with soft tannins, lively freshness and a pleasant spiciness on the finish. The typical vegetable nuances of the grape variety are subtly and harmoniously integrated, which gives the wine elegance and character.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled lamb, game dishes, herb-crusted roasts, hearty pasta sauces such as Ragù alla Bolognese or aged hard cheeses such as Montasio or Pecorino. It is also an ideal accompaniment to braised vegetables with Mediterranean herbs.
Vinification
The grapes are carefully picked by hand and, after a short cold maceration, fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature to preserve the fruity and spicy aromas of Cabernet Franc. After fermentation, the wine ages on fine lees for several months — depending on the producer, partly in stainless steel tanks, partly in used barriques.
