About the wine
This snappy Aglianico 2015 — Cabánico Basilicata IGT Rosso is a hit right down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! The winemaker from the Italian winery Alovini is absolutely proficient in his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and flourishing countryside of Basilicata. Tasting note
Deep opaque color On the nose, a wonderful bouquet of black berries and spicy notes. Velvety, smooth and full-bodied on the palate. A wine that is immediately accessible and looks modern.

Vinification
The harvest takes place around September 20 for Cabernet and around October 20 for Aglianico early in the morning and is done by hand. In small, 12kg boxes, the grapes are transported as quickly as possible to the vinification cellar. The 10-day mash fermentation takes place in small tanks. The alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of between 23 and 28°C. The aging takes place partly in new French barriques and partly in 500-liter wooden barrels and takes about 12 months. After barrel aging, the young wines are blended into a 'cabanico. '
