About the wine

St. Michael-Eppan is a cooperative consisting of 350 winegrowers and is one of the largest and most successful wineries in South Tyrol. Despite its size, quality has been paramount since it was founded in 1907, which is why it is also one of the best winegrowers' cooperatives in the world today. The outstanding oenologist Hans Terzer has been managing the winery since 1977.

Tasting note
Ruby red color, multi-faceted bouquet on the nose: //www.belvini.de/lexikon/bukett.html with aromas of small berries, floral notes and a touch of vanilla. Spicy palate with lots of finesse and smooth fruit. Low yields and accurate care guarantee a fine, extremely sensual red wine with excellent aging potential
Culinary recommendation
Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Blauburgunder St. Valentin DOC Alto Adige harmoniert bestens mit rotem Fleisch, Ente und Käse.
Vinification
After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are kept cool for maceration and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Ageing and biological acid degradation take place in barrique tonneau. After about a year, the wine is blended and aged in concrete barrels for a further 10 months before being bottled and sold.
