About the wine
Brovia is one of the best Barolo producers in Piedmont and cultivates large individual vineyards such as Villero, Rocche di Castiglione and Garblét Sue. These Nebbiolo plants are characterized by high quality, unique elegance, strong character and great ripening potential.
Tasting note
Medium ruby red in the glass. The nose is dominated by aromas of red cherries, currants and plums, plus earthy notes, some herbs and tar. Dense palate with cherry fruit, herbs and some smoke, as well as fine tannins and juicy acidity, which will make the wine age well. Long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Barolo DOCG passt ideal zu Trüffelrisotto, Burrata und Pizza.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation for 15 to 20 days on the mash at a maximum of 28°C. Then classic aging in neutral large barrels of 3,000 to 10,000 liters for two years. The wine is then aged in stainless steel tanks for a few more months. Filling without filtration and subsequent bottle aging under optimal conditions.
