The snappy Nebbiolo 2011 — Barbaresco DOCG Riserva Asili is the missing puzzle piece on your wine rack. The winemaker from the Italian winery Bruno Giacosa absolutely masters his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and flourishing countryside of Piedmont. The Flaschenpöstler promise a dining experience when you serve this Nebbiolo with prosciutto or beef.

Tasting note
Extremely complex on the nose, with aromas of ripe sour cherry, dried rose petals, violets, licorice, tobacco, iron, tar and fine spices. Firm and deep on the palate, with incredible finesse, lots of tension, silky tannins and a powerful yet precise finish. The 2020 Riserva Asili is already impressive, but is intended for long maturation — an archetypical, large Barbaresco in the style of Giacosa.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with braised beef, venison or venison fillet with truffles, polenta with wild ragout, tajarin with burro & salvia, aged cheese (Castelmagno, Parmigiano Reggiano) or as a great soloist.
Vinification
Aging in large French oak barrels (“botti grandi”) for approx. 30 months
