About the wine
Ca' del Baio is an old family business owned by the Grasso family. It is now run by Giulio and Luciana and their three daughters Valentina, Paola and Federico. The total of 28 hectares of vineyards are located in the municipalities of Treiso and Barbaresco.

Tasting note
Brilliant garnet red robe with orange accents. Intense bouquet with fruity aromas of sour cherries and violets accompanied by spicy notes of black pepper, licorice and tar. Dry and warm on the palate, velvety and soft with a rich and persistent taste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with braised and steamed red meat, game and well-aged cheese. After a few years of bottle storage, it is also excellent as a meditation wine.
Vinification
24 months in large oak barrels and in French tonneaux, then 6 months in bottle.
