About the wine
Courageously, with a location (14 ha, La Pinte à la Capitaine) and a grape variety (Savagnin), Roger Martin began in 1953 in Arbois, the center of viticulture in the Jura. And it continued so boldly under son Piere Martin, who expanded to 34 ha and switched to biodynamic viticulture in 2009. You smell it, you taste it. Beguiling wines that have enough of everything, too much of nothing, and that certain something: finesse, aroma, structure, harmony, and: character. Every wine is a discovery, great soloists and food companions. Extraordinary, outstanding natural wines, no beasts, untamed beauties!

Tasting note
Like the princess swapped at birth, instead of growing up in a castle between bushes and shrubs, so delicate, so fine, this bright red fruit of such natural elegance, and yet there is also nature, the slightly earthy notes, the herbal freshness. On the palate, uncouth beauty again, that slightly rugged elegance, the lightness and clarity of the red fruit in this slightly rough, tart, environment, again that nature in which s also needs a little resistance, the slightly dry tannins that go all the way to the end with the red fruit.
Vinification
Selective harvest by hand. 18 days on the mash, fermentation of the destemmed berries with the vineyard's own yeasts, aging and maturing for 6 months in concrete tanks. No filtration, minimal sulfurization
