The winemaker from the US winery Halter Ranch absolutely masters his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the sunny countryside of California. Tasting note
Aromas of blueberries, cassis, raspberries and a touch of mocha from new French oak. The start is soft, rich, and mouth-filling with aromas of red currants and blackberries. The juicy middle section merges into a structured finish with integrated tannins, which are complemented by the aromas of French oak.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fried meat, reduced sauces, osso bucco and dark chocolate
Vinification
Drained and fermented in closed fermentation containers, with daily delestation days in the first days of fermentation, followed by pumping around two to three times a day over an average period of 16 days. Aging for 16 months in 59-gallon French oak barrels, 60% of which are new barrels.
