About the wine
The snappy red wine 2010 — Aglianico del Vulture DOC Gudarra is the missing piece of the puzzle in your wine rack. The winemaker from the Italian winery Bisceglia masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the blooming and fertile landscape in Basilicata. Tasting note
Ruby red. Intense scent of ripe red and black fruits with a spicy note. On the palate, the wine shows a great balance of tannins, softness, fruit and spice. With a long, harmonious finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with southern Italian pasta dishes. Meat dishes, especially lamb and game. Mature cheeses such as pecorino, parmesan or gruyere.
Vinification
The grapes were harvested by hand at the end of October. Traditional maceration on the skins lasts 20-25 days in small temperature-controlled tanks at 21°C, the pomace hat is immersed several times a day. After completion of fermentation, the wine matures for 12 months in new oak barriques.
