About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Fattoria Le Corti absolutely masters his craft. Tasting note
The Zac IGT Toscana Rosso is intense ruby red. On the nose, complex aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherries and wild berries develop, accompanied by spicy notes of tobacco, licorice and black pepper. Fine notes of leather and dried herbs give it additional depth. On the palate, the wine is powerful, with silky tannins, distinctive structure and an elegant balance between fruit and acidity. The long, persistent finish is characterized by mineral and balsamic notes.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled or braised meat, such as bistecca fiorentina, lamb chops or game dishes. It also develops its full potential with aged pecorino or truffle dishes.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at 28°C for 16 days. The wine is then aged for 18 months, mainly in used barriques, followed by a 12-month aging in the bottle.
