About the wine
With this powerful Nero d'Avola 2020 — Ypsilon Rosso Terre Siciliane Sicilia IGT, the term taste takes on a new meaning. With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Tenuta di Castellaro masters this red wine in the fertile and blooming landscape of Sicily. Tasting note
Purple. Notes of red fruits and spices. Enveloping and fresh, with elegant tannins and good taste persistence.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with pasta, white meats and sophisticated fish dishes.
Vinification
The Ypsilon is pressed on Lipari (Aeolian Island) from the Black Corinth, Nero d'Avola and Alicante grape varieties. The grapes are grown on sandy volcanic soil in a vineyard at an altitude of 350 m. Thanks to strong temperature fluctuations and soil conditions, it has excellent minerality. The wine rests in steel tanks for one year and is bottled without clarification.
