About the wine

The first impression of the luxurious “Yarden Katzrin” with a whiff of its inspiring aroma points to wealth. The “Yarden Katzrin” delicately and finely structured the nose with characters of ripe cherries, plums and blackberries. This wonderful bouguet is combined with pleasant notes of chocolate and orange zest as well as soil and herbs and finally flowers and spices. This opulent wine is full-bodied and shows concentrated aromas and a very long finish. The “Yarden Katzrin” consists of a large part of Cabernet Sauvignon with a balanced proportion of Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. All grapes come exclusively from the vineyards on the cool Golan Heights. The grape must is aged in new French oak barrels for two years: separately for the first 18 months and an additional 6 months after blending. The production of this wine requires the highest quality grapes and is therefore only produced in suitable years and in limited quantities. Before offering “Yarden Katzrin”, it can be very difficult for you to refrain from opening it. However, the wine reaches its peak within a few years and can remain in excellent drinking condition for a decade under suitable conditions. Let yourself be fascinated by this “cat” and try it with rich dishes such as a juicy fried steak, roast lamb seasoned with rosemary and garlic, or osso buco veal.
