Tasting note
ISOS becomes ITOS. Because of a naming rights lawsuit, Christian Plattner had to rename his Weissburgunder, but the content remains equally brilliant. Aged half in steel tanks and in large wooden barrels. With fine pome fruit notes of pear and golden delicious, plus fruity pineapple notes and a fine, herbal-mineral touch. Dense, full-bodied body, yet elegant with fresh acid structure and delicate saltiness.
Culinary recommendation
Wonderful with South Tyrolean pasta dishes such as Schlutzkrapfen or bacon dumplings, with white asparagus, but also with grilled tuna, grilled seafood such as octopus or shrimp, with white meat and poultry.
