About the wine

You can describe the landscape of the Bündner Herrschaft with such words as mountainous or hilly. However, the Swiss winery Weinbau von Salis is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this white wine. We think he succeeded!

Tasting note
Our Cuvée Blanc impresses with an expressive, fruity aroma that immediately conveys freshness and accessibility: Ripe yellow fruits meet fine exotic notes of mango and give the bouquet a lively, slightly playful note. On the palate, the wine is slim and pleasantly light, supported by precise, fresh acidity. Delicate floral nuances underline its elegant style, while the dry finish provides clarity and a clean structure. The refreshing, balanced finish harmoniously rounds off the overall picture and makes this cuvée an uncomplicated yet stylish white wine that impresses with lightness and fine precision.
Culinary recommendation
Enjoy the Cuvée Blanc as a stylish, uncomplicated accompaniment to an aperitif, where its freshness and lightness stand out particularly beautifully. With light starters — such as fresh salads, fine vegetable dishes or subtle canapés — it develops its lively aroma and ensures a harmonious interplay.
Vinification
The Cuvée Blanc combines three grape varieties — Blanc de Noir, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc — which are each vinified separately. The grapes are selectively picked by hand, carefully stripped and gently pressed before the must is naturally clarified and fermented in stainless steel tanks at around 18°C. The young wines first mature on fine yeast before the individual components are assembled into the final cuvée in the new year. A further aging period on fine yeast and gentle filtration and bottling in spring give the wine additional depth, harmony and expression.
