About the wine
Blooming and fertile Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Poderi Boscarelli conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. With this provocative Merlot 2012 — Vino Nobile Riserva Bianca Montepulciano DOCG, the term flavor takes on a new meaning. Tasting note
Boscarelli's Vino Nobile Riserva glows in a sparkling rich ruby red with garnet reflections. On the palate, delicate notes of dark berries and a fine cherry scent. Firm structure on the palate with well-integrated, silky tannin and pleasant acidity. Long, seductively fruity aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
This Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva goes perfectly with hearty meat dishes such as beef steak, braised lamb or game. It is also an excellent choice with aged cheese and traditional Italian dishes such as lasagna or risotto.
Vinification
After manual harvesting and gently pressing the grapes, they are mashed for 7 days at a temperature of between 28 and 30 °C in wooden barrels. The aging takes place in large Allier or Slavonian oak barrels for 28 to 32 months. Subsequent bottle aging for a few months before the wine is finally on the market.
