About the wine

The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano from Tuscany has enjoyed great recognition for centuries. While the king of wines was once reserved only for noble and rich families, it is now considered a great wine that does not have to be paid dearly. This applies in particular to the wines of Azienda Agricola Canneto. As early as the 1930s, the vineyards and wines of the winery were considered among the best in the region. Since some Swiss friends took over the winery in 1987 out of passion and love for Vino Nobile and completely renewed it, only long-lasting wines of excellent quality have left the cellar. The classic Vino Nobile are showered with praise and awards and Canneto is counted among the elite in Montepulciano.

Tasting note
Pep Guardiola. Fine twine, style, committed entirely to the idea, but also to the system, to order. Distinctive and brilliant spirit, clear, fine, transparent and restrained dark red fruit, with a fine perfume, flowers, rather quiet but not fragile but firm, determined, with a clear idea that is also enforced with rigour and conviction, power through intelligence, the bright spice, noble and not broad, also spicy, gentle and strict notes, green peppers. On the palate with smooth but specific nobility, first silk elegance, finesse, game flow, then more specific, distinctive, focused, demanding, resolute and respectable in its narrow figure, spicy, noticeably fine tannins, noble, tart freshness, lasting impression. Wonderful how spirit, reason and lean strength are combined here!
