About the wine

This Ribera del Duero Tempranillo has a deep purple color. In the glass, it develops intense and compact aromas of ripe plums and blackberries, mixed with fragrant herbs. There are notes of vanilla and a touch of nutmeg that linger for a long time. On the palate, it is full and rich with loamy, ripe tannins. The aftertaste is refreshing with juicy fruit. Goes very well with lasagna, hearty pasta dishes, roast beef or game and hard cheeses such as cheddar and half-aged Manchego.

Tasting note
A fresh, uncomplicated red wine from Viña Curvada, which impresses with its lively fruit and accessible nature. On the nose, there are intense aromas of red berries such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by subtle spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is soft and harmonious with well-integrated tannins and a pleasant freshness. The aftertaste is fruity and balanced.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty dishes such as lasagna, spicy pasta, roast beef or game. Ripened hard cheeses such as cheddar or semi-aged manchego also harmonize wonderfully with the ripe fruit and the fine vanilla and spicy notes of this Tempranillo.
Vinification
The grapes were picked by hand in the first week of October 2023 at the optimal ripening time. After gentle destemming and mash fermentation, 15% of the must (saignée) was removed to concentrate color, aromas and flavors. The musts were fermented at 28°C in epoxy-coated cement tanks with a capacity of 15,000 kg and manually pumped around several times a day during the 12 to 14-day fermentation and maceration. After malolactic fermentation, selected wines were transferred to small 2-3-year-old French oak barrels with a capacity of 225 liters, where they aged for 4 months before being blended with the wine aged in tanks.
