About the wine

Picturesque and graceful landscapes of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon) give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodegas Carramimbre conjures up this white wine with refinement and sensitivity. Tasting note
This Verdejo delights with refreshing acidity and succulent drinking flow. Expressive aromas of freshly cut grass, fennel, tropical fruits such as pineapple, guava, mango and passion fruit. On the palate, Verdejo is very intense, fruity, with good acidity, refreshing and with a long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Whether as an aperitif wine or as an accompaniment to fine dishes — the Carramimbre Verdejo is versatile. It goes particularly well with smoked fish and meat, such as smoked salmon or mackerel. It also develops its full flavor with veal steak with chimichurri or Asian dishes. An ideal wine for delightful moments on the balcony, in the garden or simply in between meals.
Vinification
After strict ripening control, the grapes are harvested in the first half of September. After destemming, a light cold-layer maceration is carried out to increase the aromatic intensity of the must. The grapes are gently pressed and the resulting must is fermented at a controlled temperature for about 20 days. The young wine then stays in contact with the fine yeast, which gives it volume and complexity.
