About the wine
After studying oenology in Milan, the two genuine and somewhat crazy Valtellinesi Davide Fasolini and Pierpaolo Di Franco founded the Dirupi winery in 2004. In order to realize their dream of the perfect Nebbiolo, the two 3-hectare vineyards in the steepest areas of Valtellina, which are divided into an incredible 18 plots of land. In the same year, they were able to launch their first vintage of 1600 bottles. Today, they produce around 35,000 bottles and are still absolute micro-producers.
Tasting note
Dense aromas of cherries, wild berries, herbal tea, Christmas spices and roses. Powerful palate with lots of freshness and fine tannins. There is also an intense aroma of ripe berries and freshly ground spices, which reverberates on the palate with lots of minerality.

Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging for 12 months in large 20 to 35 hectoliter French oak barrels.
