Tasting note
In the glass, the wine is dark ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, it reveals a complex aroma of ripe dark berries, accompanied by earthy nuances, spicy herbs and a touch of fine pepper and cedarwood. On the palate, Ursprung 1872 is full-bodied, powerful and complex, with ripe tannins and harmoniously integrated acidity. The long, spicy finish gives it character and depth — a red wine with sophisticated and storage potential. The Ursprung 1872 is a powerful red wine cuvée made from Syrah, Blauem Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon — three grape varieties that combine elegance, structure and depth in this composition. The name refers to the Heinrich family's long-standing wine tradition and at the same time reflects their modern style.

Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand to ensure perfect ripeness and quality. They come from the best locations in the volcanic region, characterized by mineral volcanic and limestone soils. Fermentation takes place in used oak barrels (large wood format) to preserve texture and terroir — this creates a perfect balance between fruit and structure After fermentation, the wine matures in barrique barrels for several months (sometimes years), resulting in complexity and depth. Tannins and acidity are integrated and present, giving the wine a long aging potential.
