With this powerful Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 — Turaia Toscana Rosso IGT, the term taste takes on a new meaning. The winemaker from the Italian winery Alfredo Pellegrini has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and refinement are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and flourishing Tuscan countryside. Tasting note
Ruby red color, with garnet reflections. Intense and persistent scent with an emphasis on vanilla, tobacco, spices and ripe fruits such as blueberries and cherries. Warm taste with enveloping softness, round tannins and a fruity, spicy and persistent aftertaste. These properties allow the wine to have an excellent longevity.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with starters with game, lamb or beef, but also with hearty Italian pasta.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled and constant temperature for 10-12 days, maceration for a further 12-15 days. After bottling has been carried out by gentle pressing, malolactic fermentation begins in steel, which is promoted by the presence of noble yeast, and ends in barriques. After 3 months in French barriques, and a further 3 months for the assembly of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the wine is finally bottled, followed by another 3 months of aging in the bottle until final sale.
