About the wine

Blooming and fertile Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Terralsole conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Tasting note
The trio is Terralsole's most opulent wine. Wonderfully strong fruit based on dark berries paired with slightly jammy notes of black cherry and blackberry peppered with spicy components of chocolate, some tobacco and a hint of vanilla. A touch of pepper and well-integrated round tannins lead to a long-lasting aftertaste of fruit and spice. A great Toscana blend that wonderfully accompanies strong dishes.

Vinification
The trio from Terralsole was produced for the first time in 2008. This year Mario stopped producing Pasticcio, Solysta and Coldoro and decided to produce a cuvée from the grapes of these three wines. The grapes for the trio grow on marl soils at about 250 meters above sea level in the best locations in Montalcino and are all picked very carefully by hand. In order not to damage the grapes, any pumping processes in the winery are avoided. All work steps are carried out using gravitational force. After the separate fermentation of the grape varieties have been cooled, the wines are aged for around 18 months in French barriques and 600-liter tonneaux before blending and further bottle storage. The 2008 edition was presented for the first time in 2015.
