About the wine
The fertile and graceful landscapes of Valtellina give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Triacca conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. With the outstanding Nebbiolo 2014 — Triacca Casa la Gatta Valtellina Superiore DOCG, nuances and accents are redefined. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This nebbiolo can be served very well with truffle risotto or burrata.
Tasting note
Intense, fresh bouquet, characterized by fine raspberry notes. Robust with medium strength, with a racy acid structure, rustic and typical of its kind.
Culinary recommendation
Strong, dark meat dishes from beef, lamb, deer, also with mushroom dishes and truffles.
Vinification
The grapes are fermented at controlled temperatures for 12 to 15 days to achieve maximum flower and suppleness. The aging takes place over two years in large Slovenian oak barrels.
