About the wine
We have a special, distinctive Primitivo from 2016 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Tormaresca masters this red wine in the sunny and blooming countryside of Apulia. Tasting note
Dark cherry red. On the nose, a delicate, complex bouquet of red berries, fully ripe plums, dried figs. Underpinned by fine roasted aromas, plus notes of almonds and licorice. Juicy on the palate. Fine, warm spicy nuances and dark berry fruit. Smooth yet noticeable tannins of good quality, which, paired with warm-fruity aromas, blend into the persistent and beautifully lingering aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with wild boar and other hearty meat dishes.
Vinification
Mash fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature (28 to 32 °C) for 20 days in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged and refined for ten months in French and Hungarian barriques and a further eight months in the bottle.
