About the wine
Marco de Bartoli is a personality, a figure in Sicily, father of the renaissance of Sicilian wines. With love and also a little anger and half his family, he has been fighting the big companies, the dishonest machinations and, above all, the decline of Marsala, which, in recent decades, has degenerated into a cheap wine, forgetting all tradition - not so with Marco! In its two wineries in Marsala and on the island of Pantelleria, only autochthonous vines are cultivated, of course organic (certified), and, after careful selection, formed into independent wines with a touching soul.

Tasting note
Happy bride - Stylish yes, plus light, immense and warm happiness, that soft bright red fruit, that creamy, caramel touch, that ethereal freshness, everything so unclouded and left out, also tart, earthy notes, which here seem like joyful fun. Exuberant foaming on the palate, creamy fullness on the palate, a touch of caramel again, then frivolous, tart and fresh, everything so joyful, rustling and light and animates until long into the night. Such lively, high-flying, exuberant heartfelt joy, harmonious happiness and sparkling fun. Just lovely.
Vinification
Low yields, selective harvesting by hand. Whole grape pressing, fermentation with vineyard's own yeast in steel (80%) and French oak barrels (20%), tirage made from pure must instead of sugar, aging for 12 months in steel tanks and oak barrels, 18 months on the yeast in the bottle, no dosage, minimal addition of sulfur.
