About the wine
An intense and expressive Monastrell from the Jumilla region that expresses the Mediterranean warmth and power of this grape variety. Terraje Monastrell has a deep ruby red colour and is a true representative of the Jumilla terroirs.

Tasting note
The grapes come from over 50 years old, rooted vines from locations at 700 m above sea level, which are not irrigated. The wine is aged in large, 5000 liter wooden barrels. With aromas of ripe plums, cherry compote and blackberries, plus finely spicy notes of roasted pine nuts, a touch of nougat and the typical tones of wild, Mediterranean herbs. Showing inviting elegance on the palate, with beautiful fruit, juicy texture and fine tannin structure.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with risotto with wild mushrooms or chorizo, with oven-baked lamb, or with braised rabbit with prunes, but also with wild fowl and grilled meat.
