About the wine
Truly an exceptional gem: the Tacuil comes from the Salta wine region, more remote than remote “in the middle of nowhere” in Argentina's northern Andes. Since 1827, Raoul Dávalos' family has owned this vineyard, which is located higher than the Säntis at around 2600 m — the highest in production in the world! The air here is just as pure as the mineral-rich Andean water is crystal clear. The vines hardly need to fear pests. The intense sun brings strength, the very cool nights the freshness to this formidable wine made from Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. Organic vineyard processing, aging without wood, bottled unfiltered. An absolute rarity worldwide. Young with intense, pure fruit, thanks to good ripening potential, patience is worthwhile.
