About the wine
Cosimo and Maria Teresa Varvaglione manage their winery in the Salento region of Puglia together with their three children. With the experience and tradition of four generations and the support of dynamic and motivated employees, the company was given a new lease of life. Varvaglione 1921 takes the best of the region and transforms it into high-quality wines. The starting point for this is the variety of local grape varieties. The credit goes to the experienced winemaker for making the right choice at the right time. The philosophy of Varvaglione 1921 is based on the combination of tradition and technology.

Tasting note
Spicy wine with aromas of dried plums and blackberries. Soft, ripe tannins give the wine a good structure and support its intensity and long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with game, barbecues, stews, lamb, cheese.
Vinification
Short cold maceration followed by controlled fermentation at 24-26°C. This is followed by aging in large wooden barrels for 6 months.
