About the wine

Frank Cornelissen has only dedicated itself to wine since the beginning of 2000, and has ventured far ahead from the start, no compromises, but clear convictions and ideas. When Frank says nature, he also means nature. The ancient vines are virtually left to their own devices, accompanied, and only in rare, very difficult years are biodynamic methods used at all, what goes in the bottle here is not just pure and untamed nature, it is a great experience, a venture and a journey, incomparably passionate, impetuous and yet of inner purity. It's really big and surprising that you can have bottles re-corked after barely more than 10 years, not because the corks are no good, but because the wines will still inspire decades from now!

Tasting note
Siren - the myth: Like a call from afar, calm, clear, very dark red fruit and yet ghostly, the ethereal expanse, slightly sour note that sounds like this but also comes so close from so far: intense, fresh fruit, ethereal. So penetrating on the palate, first ensnares softly, and then goes through marrow and leg. With its ethereal fresh sound - more than with structure and body - it literally takes possession of you, excites, stirs up with its distinctive ethereal and mineral-smoky notes until you finally fall for it - softening the delicious, ripe, sweet fruit again. Anything but a trivial rosé, an intense fruity-ethereal evocation, scary and beautiful!
Vinification
Selective harvesting and sorting by hand. 10 days of maceration of the destemmed, crushed berries, fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts in steel tanks, malolactic fermentation, no fining, slight filtration, minimal sulfurization.
