About the wine
The family estate Berger-Gei is located in Überetsch 500 m above sea level. Since 1870, the small business has been growing wine and instead of handing over the grapes to the winegrowers' cooperative, they have also been pressing them themselves since 1989. Ignaz Niedrist combines tradition with modern wine culture and always has the highest quality standards. His wines have a pure, almost purist style, are elegant and, with their great personality, are always in direct connection with the region.

Tasting note
Sparkling golden yellow Intense scent of elderflower and gooseberry. Full and fresh body with a long, mineral aftertaste. One of the best Sauvignon Blanc from South Tyrol for years.
Culinary recommendation
With goats or other spicy cheeses, asparagus, crustaceans, fish in sauces and vegetable dishes or excellent as a full-bodied aperitif wine.
Vinification
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks, without malolactic fermentation. Then aging on fine yeast in large wooden barrels.
