About the wine
Winegrowing in Höngg has a tradition that is not measured in decades but in thousands of years. Finds from ancient times suggest that the Romans were already cultivating vines here. In 1869, Höngg was the third-largest wine-growing community in the canton of Zurich. After the phylloxera raging, the vineyard area fell to a few hectares, which were finally completely cleared during the war.

Tasting note
The bouquet contains aromas of wild strawberry, cassis and floral notes. This fruity Pinot is characterized by pleasant tannins and a balanced acid structure.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with regional cuisine, e.g. pork tenderloin in batter or bratwurst with rösti or cheese.
Vinification
Aging in large wooden barrels.
