About the wine

The Stina winery is located in a breath-taking location on the Riva, the waterfront of Bol, a picturesque town on the island of Brač off the southern Dalmatian coast of Croatia. The island is famous for its bright white stones, known locally as “Stina.” The winery itself is located in a historic building in the village, as the inscription on the façade still shows today: “The First Dalmatian Winegrowers' Cooperative”. The winegrowers' cooperative was founded in 1901, and this building was erected in 1903. Stina was founded by Jako Andabak in 2009 and has since become a benchmark for impressive wines made from classic Dalmatian grape varieties such as Posip and Plavac Mali.

Tasting note
Intense golden yellow with a hint of greenish reflections. The bouquet is complex. The elegant and extremely sharp scent profile features notes of peach, tropical fruits followed by notes of Mediterranean herbs and a touch of vanilla. Agile on the palate, accompanied by very distinctive minerality and saltiness which gives it finesse and makes the wine fruity and unique. The Stina Pošip is a dry white wine from the beautiful vineyards of the island of Brač, made from the autochthonous Pošip variety, which is harvested by hand. The high-quality wine is produced on the basis of controlled fermentation using only natural yeasts. 80% of the grapes mature in stainless steel tanks and 20% in small and large barrique barrels. Stina is the epitome of Dalmatian wines at the highest level.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with crustaceans, grilled fish and white meat.
Vinification
