Tasting note
The Siebe Dupf Pinot Noir Barrique Reserve features a sparkling ruby with garnet reflections. On the nose, an aromatic potpourri of wild strawberries, blackberries, ripe plums, black cherries and violets, paired with accents of undergrowth and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and soft with lots of red fruit, sweet spicy notes, some smoke, lively acidity and velvety tannins. A full-bodied and well-structured Pinot Noir with pleasant freshness and good aging potential.

Vinification
The Siebe Dupf Pinot Noir Reserve was first pressed with grapes from our own vineyard in Liestal in 2019. Since then, this wine, only in very good vintages, has been pressed from grapes from the best-presenting vineyard of the year from Oberbasel. After manual harvesting, spontaneous fermentation takes place in open stands before the wine ages in French barriques for 14 months. The wine is only produced in very small quantities (300-600 bottles).
