About the wine
Sette is an homage to the art of winemaking: a blend of seven organically managed Merlot individual vineyards. Each layer is vinified separately and brings its own characteristics. Through precise selection, blending and aging, the result is a harmonious wine with clear identity, depth and expression — characterized by terroir, vintage and careful handwork.

Tasting note
On the nose, the Sette shows intense aromas of ripe blackcurrants, plums, black cherries, accompanied by cedarwood, tobacco, chocolate and a hint of vanilla. Powerful and concentrated on the palate, with dense fruit, fine-grained tannins, very well-integrated wood seasoning and a long, elegant finish. A modern Supertuscan with international standing without denying its Tuscan origin.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with steak, braised beef or lamb, game dishes, pasta with strong meat sauces, aged pecorino or dark chocolate with salt and pepper.
Vinification
Manual harvest, temperature-controlled mash fermentation, then aging for approx. 18 months in new French barriques, followed by maturing in the bottle for several months. The Sette is only produced in particularly successful vintages and shows the elegance and depth of Sette Ponti wines beyond Oreno & Co.
