About the wine
There is something left over from Christmas dinner every year. Do you know that? Why not invite your friends over for a glass of wine in the afternoon to enjoy the festive meal again and we recommend this biting Nebbiolo 2015. Picturesque and blooming landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Elio Filippino conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. The Flaschenpöstler promise a dining experience when you serve this Nebbiolo with pizza or beef.

Tasting note
Intense garnet red color with orange reflections that indicate a long storage period. Fruity scents reminiscent of grapes and raspberries; it has ethereal and spicy notes (cinnamon, tobacco, and vanilla). Wide, beguiling and elegant on the palate, yet intense and powerful at the same time.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with roast beef, pot roast and game as well as with spicy and mature cheeses. Also excellent with delicate fruits such as strawberries.
Vinification
The grapes are lightly pressed and destemmed; the clear must ferments at 26-30°C in steel tanks with temperature control; mash fermentation takes 10-12 days. After stripping, the wine ages in 225 liter Alliers barrique barrels for about 18-20 months. It is later transferred to 25/30 hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels, where it is stored for another 12 months.
