About the product
The black currant, also known as black currant, is known for its pleasantly aromatic, sweet-sour, black berries. With their fruit ripening between July and August, they are considered extremely tasty fruits. Schnapps lovers love processing the ripe berries into one of the most sophisticated distillates. Southern Styria is home to Rochelt black currant. There, around 25 kg of berries are harvested for every liter of schnapps. The fully ripe berries are picked and cleaned by hand at the fruit grower. After firing the naturally fermented, additive-free mash twice, the coveted centerpiece is stored in open glass balloons for at least four years. This is how the schnapps matures into a complex, dense and harmonious distillate of ripe currants, of course 100% pure and unfiltered.
