About the wine
The San Valentino winery is located on a hill near Rimini. It has been managed biodynamically by Roberto Mascarin since 1997 and the star oenologist from Italy, Luca D'Attoma, has been advising him since 2016. Today, his wines are among the most respected and highly awarded in Emilia Romagna.

Tasting note
On the nose, Sangiovese has aromas of dried strawberries, pomegranate seeds, cherries, sweet spices and a touch of herbs. Medium-heavy on the palate with fine tannins and a juicy, fruity finish.

Vinification
Selective, gentle hand picking in small baskets. Gentle destemming and squeezing of ripe berries. Temperature-controlled maceration with wild yeasts takes place over eight days. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Ageing also takes place in steel tanks for eight to ten months.
