About the wine
Courageously, with a location (14 ha, La Pinte à la Capitaine) and a grape variety (Savagnin), Roger Martin began in 1953 in Arbois, the center of viticulture in the Jura. And it continued so boldly under son Piere Martin, who expanded to 34 ha and switched to biodynamic viticulture in 2009. You smell it, you taste it. Beguiling wines have enough of everything, too much of nothing, and that certain something: finesse, aroma, structure, harmony, and: character. Every wine is a discovery, great soloists and food accompaniments. Extraordinary, outstanding natural wines, no beasts, untamed beauties!

Tasting note
Sunrise on the mountain - how it glows softly and warmly, this mild, ripe, golden fruit, yeasts, plus that calm freshness that is only characteristic of a quiet morning. On the palate, these incomparably mild notes, this orange fruit, like gold, so calm in shine, plus this fresh bite, the slightly rugged rock formations, structuring minerality and tannins, the gentle tingling, yeasty, ripe apple again. What an experience, this golden expanse, how it nourishes, fulfills - and all in this inhospitable, barren, mineral landscape!
Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Fermentation of the destemmed berries with the vineyard's own yeasts in vats, pneumatic pressing, malolactic fermentation and maturation for 6 months in steel tanks. Unfiltered, unsulfurized.
