About the wine
Picturesque landscapes of Burgenland give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Austrian winery Anton Kollwentz conjures up this white wine with refinement and experience. With the provocative white wine 2016 — Sauvignon Blanc Steinmuhle, you can offer your guests something very special. Tasting note
On the nose, intense aromas of elderflowers, exotic fruits and gooseberries. Due to the naturally preserved carbon dioxide, this wine surprises with a sparkling start, but the intensity of the spice leaves nothing to be desired, yet elegantly and broadly woven until the long-lasting finale.
Culinary recommendation
Salmon mousse, smoked fish of all origins, a whole chicken grilled on a beer can. Asparagus go very well with it. Corpse dishes of Far Eastern origin - i.e. various curries. Not too sharp please.
Vinification
Fully ripe, healthy Sauvignon Blanc grapes are selectively harvested by hand. The wine ages on lees in large Austrian oak barrels. But only 1/3 of the quantity has wooden barrels and the rest enjoys maturing in steel tanks.
