Tasting note
From grapes from old vines from a small, very steep - up to 50% - individual vineyard on the Pössnitzberg, where there is a small chapel. Picked by hand, fermented spontaneously and aged for 36 months in large, traditional oak barrels. Wonderfully inviting, elegant nose with aromas of ripe gooseberries, white peach and lime, finely spicy with notes of verbena and anise. Silky elegance on the palate, delicate and dance-like, yet extremely precise with enormous pressure and complexity. Wonderful drinking flow with impressive length.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with freshwater fish, asparagus dishes, such as char fillet on fried green asparagus with lemon zest and fennel flowers. But also great with poultry or boiled beef.
