About the wine
The “Falkenstein” winery in Vinschgau is cultivated independently and according to his own philosophy by Franz Pratzner as a member of South Tyrol's Frien winegrowers. The winery has been family-owned for over 400 years. Franz Pratzner has been a self-marketer since 1995 and has since then earned an excellent name for himself among South Tyrol's winemakers. The approximately 7-hectare wineries are located on the southern slopes of Naturns and are planted with Weissburgunder, Riesling, Blauburgunder, Sauvignon and Gewürztraminer varieties. Around 45,000 bottles are bottled and sold every year at the Pratzner family wineries.

Tasting note
Straw yellow color with brilliant reflections. The nose opens with fresh notes of alfalfa, enriched with pleasant mineral notes. On the palate, it is fresh, iodized and pleasantly brackish. The wine has delicate aromas of green pepper and gooseberry.

Antipasti, aperitif, fish and seafood, poultry
Vinification
It is made exclusively from Sauvignon grapes. Fermentation takes place in acacia barrels at a controlled temperature for 7-10 weeks, then the wine is aged in the same containers for 9 months before being bottled
