Tasting note
Bright ruby red with purple reflections. Refined and fruity bouquet with dominant notes of ripe cherries, plums and red fruits, accompanied by light nuances of violets and spicy notes of black pepper and vanilla. Dry and balanced, with soft and silky tannins. On the palate, it is elegant, with good structure and freshness; there are pleasant notes of fresh red fruits, herbal notes and a mineral vein that reflects the Umbrian terroir. The aftertaste is long and persistent, with a slight aftertaste of sweet spices.
Culinary recommendation
Excellent with grilled white and red meats, first courses with meat sauce, lasagna, mushroom dishes and middle-aged cheese. Also ideal for pizza and traditional Italian dishes based on tomatoes and aromatic herbs.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested manually to select the best grapes. During winemaking, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruity characteristics of Sangiovese. The wine ages in wooden barrels for a few months, which round off the tannins and add light spicy nuances.
