Tasting note
On the nose, this Sancerre impresses with a clear, cool and robust minerality with aromas of gooseberry, citrus, ripe stone fruit and light floral accents. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex, again with lots of bright fruit aromas, salty minerality, strong acidity and a powerful structure. The aftertaste is long-lasting and full of character. A Sancerre with excellent aging potential, but which is also great fun for young people.

Vinification
The Chasseignes location has a south-east orientation and is located in the northeast of Sury-en-Vaux at 270 meters above sea level. The vines, which are around 35 years old, are rooted on light and extremely stony limestone soil. After manual harvesting, 50% is fermented and aged in steel tanks and 50% in wooden barrels. The aging takes place on the yeast for 7-8 months. The wooden barrels mostly use 350-600 liter burgundy barrels from Domaine Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey from Chassagne-Montrachet in second occupancy. There is no biological acid degradation.
