About the wine
The provocative Sauvignon Blanc 2014 — Sancerre AOC Comte Lafond is the missing puzzle piece on your wine rack. The wine-growing regions of the French winery Ladoucette au Château du Nozet extend across the countryside, where the experienced winemaker produces this white wine. Tasting note
Intense yellow Distinctive, lively and complex on the nose. Aromas of white flowers such as hawthorn, acacia, elderberry. Elegant, classy fruit, currants, some grass. Juicy and balanced on the palate. The aromas of the nose are repeated. The finish is medium-long, aromatic and well-balanced.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with fried saltwater fish, accompanied by a light sauce. Delicious with asparagus or with fresh goat cheese.
Vinification
The Sauvignon blanc grapes from various plots are picked by hand and gently pressed separately according to the location. After standing for around 24 to 48 hours, the grape juice is transferred to steel tanks and fermented there. The subsequent aging is also carried out without the use of wood in order to preserve the natural freshness and intense aroma of the grape variety.
