Tasting note
Salmos, the “lighter” of the two top Priory wines from Torres, has a beautiful, youthful purple red in the glass. Beautiful, lush fruit notes of black and red berries, plus some peppery nuances and a touch of vanilla - very inviting! On the palate, with lots of juicy fruit extract. Solid but mild tannins give the wine a backbone, fine melting and a long aftertaste of the still youthful fruit make the wine a great drinking experience.

Vinification
Grown on Priorat's famous llicorella soils, which offer a terroir that results in highly concentrated wines with minerality and good natural acidity. The temperature fluctuations between day and night contribute to optimal ripening of the grapes and increase their aroma and intensity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak. The Salmos is aged for 14 months in French barriques (20% new wood) and fuder barrels.
