About the wine
With this provocative Negroamaro 2013 — Salice Salentino DOP Riserva 'Il Granduca', the term taste takes on a new meaning. Fertile and sunny landscapes in Puglia give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Vinicola Mediterranea conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Negroamaro can be served with salsiccia or venison goulash.

Tasting note
Aromas of beguiling intensity and fruit unfold on the nose. Hints of ripe plums, jam and dried fruits in combination with seductive notes of vanilla, licorice and cinnamon, but also notes of chocolate and tobacco can be discerned. All in all, an experience of high intensity and great diversity. But this Salice Salentino also shows what it has to offer on the palate: a rich, balanced body full of melting, paired with a well-dosed fruit acid. The sensory impression in the finale is persistent, accessible and shows a lot of charm.

Goes well with pasta with tomato sauce, marinated grilled meats (e.g. brisket, steaks, chicken legs), Far Eastern cuisine, Mexican tapas with chips.
