About the wine
In 2011, Patric du Jeu and his uncle took over the Domaine Les Héritiers de Saint-Genys in Chassagne-Montrachet, in the heart of Burgundy. The winery attaches great importance to careful vineyard care and terroir-oriented winemaking. Particularly noteworthy is the monopoly location Le Clos Marcilly in Mercurey, which belongs to the Domaine.

Tasting note
On the nose, there are tempting berry aromas, paired with a fine spiciness and subtle roasted aromas. The wine starts with a long, velvety finish, has a seductive, elegant structure and a ripe, fine-grained tannin.
Culinary recommendation
Wonderful with beef — from steaks to stroganoff to tartare or slow-cooked roast from the oven.
Vinification
Careful handpicked in small boxes. In the cellar, the grapes are destemmed, with a small portion of whole grapes being added for fermentation. After fermentation, Clos Marcilly is aged in small oak barrels for 18 months.
